The Friends+ Family Dentistry

Difference

Our practice is built on the strong, long-term relationships among a dentist, hygienist, assistant, and office manager—professionals who have worked together in various offices over the years.

This experience has helped us value the qualities and systems that keep a dental practice running smoothly, without chaos.

Whether it’s a routine checkup or a total smile transformation—our focus is lasting wellness. We approach each patient holistically, caring for patients from childhood through their senior years.

Named for that sweet circumstance when friends feel like family, we firmly believe your oral health is inseparable from your overall and systemic health. We take pride in offering the latest advances and high-tech equipment in our five state-of-the-art operatories.

Meet

the Team

At Friends & Family Dentistry, our team is the heart of everything we do. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted by people who truly care.

Manager

Sarah Beth Todd

Office Manager

A native of Jefferson City in Jackson County, Sarah Beth has worked in dentistry since 2007. She was a dental assistant before entering dental hygiene school and is a graduate of the Athens Tech Dental Hygienist program. She says she always knew her career would be in healthcare and enjoys letting her interpersonal skills shine when caring for patients. When not at the office, you’ll find Sarah Beth enjoying her busy family life, which includes husband Colby, children Gavin and Kate, and German shepherd Jenny. Her hobbies also include running and biking, as well as reading.

  Hygienist

Jennifer Redmon

Hygienist

After earning her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2007 from Perimeter College, Jennifer has been passionate about connecting with patients and educating them on the important link between oral health and overall wellness.

Originally from Ohio, she moved to Georgia in high school and quickly fell in love with the state, deciding to make it her permanent home. She married the love of her life, Jeff, and is a mom to two children and two stepchildren, ranging in age from 16 to 23. Jennifer embraces the joy and adventure of a busy family life.

When she’s not caring for patients, Jennifer channels her love of travel—something she developed during her time as a flight attendant. She enjoys exploring vibrant destinations like Ireland, Scotland, Alaska, and the Dominican Republic, with Australia at the top of her bucket list.

At home, she loves spending time with Jeff, their children, and their five adorable dogs, as well as relaxing with family and friends.

  Assistant

Brandi Phagan

Assistant

This Gainesville native entered the dental field after raising her two children. Brandi received her EFDA Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions degree from Lanier Technical College in 1999. She can handle restorative and preventive tasks that a traditional dental assistant cannot. Currently in dental hygiene school, she says since she has taught dental assistants in the past, having her own dental assistant school someday would be a dream.

Brandi and her husband love spending time outdoors. The couple has become empty nesters and grandparents, with their two grown children each having their own children. Along with two dogs and a cat, they’ve made family farm property their home. When not at work, you’ll find Brandi traveling, four-wheeling, dirt biking and skiing. What she likes most about her job is changing people’s views about dentistry and making their overall lives better through oral health.
